Will the Leica M11 Monochrom finally put an end to the “pimple” problem seen with its predecessors?
UPDATE: see reader comments by Jost A.
I know a problem is real when all I get is radio silence from Leica—which was the case with the Leica M Monochrom Type 246 and the Leica M10 Monochrom. To this day, Leica has never so much as acknowledged the issue.
As always, I stand ready to provide raw files to Leica showing the issue, but I’ve given up on bothering to inquire because the repudiation by non-communication is offensive. Of course I also stand ready to accept any proof that there is something real going on that is not actually a camera or sensor defect. Thing is, my eyes cannot accept the 'ugly', no matter the explanation.
If you’re buying a Leica M11 Monochrom, please buy through the links on this site when it becomes available at B&H—thanks!
