SDXC Cards for Fujifilm GFX100S: Super-Fast Cards and Reasonably Fast High Capacity Cards

I’ve been using the 256GB OWC Atlas S Pro in the Fujifilm GFX100S and it has been working flawlessly and very fast. Check those write speeds (see my review of the OWC Atlas S Pro)—you can’t get a 256GB card from Sony that writes as fast.

But sometimes you might want a capacious card due to shooting volume, an extended trip such as backpacking and hiking, etc. And right now you can get the SanDisk Extreme Pro 1TB card for only $250. It’s not nearly as fast (90MB/sec write speed), and it’s not built as solidly as the OWC Atlas S Pro or Sony TOUGH, but with 4X the capacity, it just might be the ticket when capacity is the priority.

So one strategy for a dual-slot camera like the Fujifilm GFX100S would be to use a fast card like the OWC Atlas S Pro in slot 1, and send overflow to a 2nd matching card, or go big with overflow onto a 1TB card. In other words, 256GB+256GB or 256GB+1TB. Or if you’re really pressed for it: 1TB+1TB.
