Sunflower in December
It has been raining like crazy—the brutal California drought is over, with the Sierra snow pack at 125% or so of “normal”, which I presume means arithmetic mean.
This sunflower in my garden got a late start and was even badly disturbed when I harvested potatoes it was growing by, back around Thanksgiving. But it isn’t letting the rain or the 48°F temperatures or COVID discourage its exuberance!
