Shootout @ 35mm, Nikon NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/4 S vs 35mm f/1.8 S: Stand of Bare Aspen by Creek

See my Nikon mirrorless wishlist and Sony mirrorless wishlist and Canon mirrorless wishlist.

Here the Nikon NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/4 S is compared directly to the Nikon NIKKOR Z 35mm f/1.8 S on a near-to-far highly detailed scene.

Shootout @ 35mm, Nikon NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/4 S vs 35mm f/1.8 S: Stand of Bare Aspen by Creek

Includes up to full resolution images from f/4 through f/11 for both lenses, crops and commentary.

I am not happy with either lens, as the crops and commentary spell out. For the debut of a system presumably critical to Nikons future, I have to wonder what the logic was in the various lens compromises.
