Will Adobe have Pixel Shift Support for the Sony A7R III? Plus Sony’s Image Edge Viewer Installer
See my Sony wish list.
What I’m hearing is that Adobe support for the pixel shift feature of the Sony A7R III is “maybe” with no definite date. That’s really disappointing. As I’ve said in past blog posts, a big vendor like Sony should just pay Adobe to get it done.
I don’t know how well I’ll be be able to evaluate pixel shift using Sony’s software, and it certainly makes any focus stacking using pixel shift a major PITA.

My trepidation in using Sony Imaging Edge software was there before I downloaded it, but now a big red flag is waving the its hella no fun to deal with untested software. I’m leery of using it at all.
Toggle between the 4 screen shots to see the lovely completely BLANK privacy policy, including a printed blank sheet. This is rather unbelievable—does Sony even test their installer, which behaves differently from other installers, adding more FUD to the mix?
See also screen #1—hell no I don’t trust Sony and would rather cancel the install, but what choice is there what with Adobe support nowhere in sight.
