Canon 5D Mark IV Soon

Canon EOS 5D Mark IV

See my wish lists at B&H Photo including my Canon wish list.

I expect to have the about $3499 Canon 5D Mark IV by September 16, to be reviewed in DAP.

The new about $2199 Canon EF 16-35/2.8L III ships around Nov 1, and I will be reviewing it also, and perhaps the new about $1099 Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS II USM as well (also due to ship around Nov 1).

The 30MP resolution of the Canon 5D Mark IV hits the sweet spot for many users and its dual-pixel support may actually afford the chance of higher resolution and other nifty tricks.

I’ll be sticking to my Canon 5DS R for outdoors shooting, but I think it’s an interesting prospect to see how it compares to the 5D Mark IV when downsampled to the same resolution, that is, pixel quality.
