Gone Fishing (and photographing) + card for Sony A7R II 4K Video Recording
This site will be relatively quiet this weekend and Monday—personal (family) trip for the long weekend. However, next week starting sometime on Monday, quite a lot will appear which should be of considerable interest to many. Depending on what time of the day I get out of the mountains and to cell service, for internet connectivity. Dang, I have a big backlog of work, but still I also have a lot ready.

I was not able to record 24P or 30P 100M 4K video on the Sony A7R II using the Lexar 2000X SDXC card (the A7R II does not find it acceptable for 100M 4K video). [UPDATE: after the late October firmware update, the Lexar 200X card works fine]. Sony was kind enough to overnight me a compatible 64GB Sony SDXC card so that I could shoot the highest quality 4K video. I am looking forward to shooting some (total newbie for me) 4K video to view on my wowa-deal Sony 55" 4K TV. Anything nifty up in the high mountains before the “snow and ice window” freezes the high country up. Perhaps at a remote lake with trophy size fish (or so I hope). But it has been coddlingly-warm, and so should hit freezing only after sunset, even at 11,000' elevation.
