Leica M Typ 240 / M240 Usability
All the usability issues with the M240 which I’ve found are now detailed, which follows the bottom plate issue and the Live View / EVF issues.
The Leica M Typ 240 emits a vibe of inattention to the details. For a $7000 camera, these issues are disappointing. The same is true for a $2000 camera, but at least with that, one has $5000 left over.
The Live View + EVF + high-res LCD is a big win, but I am not finding any other operational characteristic that I would call improved; the camera handles less well for still photography than the M9, which I’ve used since November, 2009.
