Below is an interesting tidbit on my Amazon.com order placed back in October. It might or might not be accurate of course, but I’m glad to know it will arrive by 8pm within a 2-week period. :;
This order exists to track the arrival status of the Leica 50mm f/2 APO-Summicron-M ASPH (I usually order my stuff from B&H Photo, but with specialty items like this I have to cover my bases).
The 50/2 AA is a highly anticipated lens, and upon its arrival should establish itself as the best 50mm production lens for a 35mm camera ever produced. Leica apparently has had some manufacturing difficulties with this ultra high-spec lens, hence the delay from last October.
