Leica M9P Down in Price by $1000 — new M model Imminent?
On August 8, I noted the rumors about a new Leica M with CMOS sensor and Live View. Pure speculation.
The price of the M9P is now down to $6995 and the M9 down to $6495. That’s $1000 lower for the M9P.
This does not substantiate any particular feature set, it just strongly suggests that a new model is in the works, soon.
Well, $1000 is an incentive (from hugely overpriced to really overpriced), but methinks it a bad investment to make such a purchase at full price when a new model is likely just around the corner. Better to find a used mint-condition body and save another couple grand.
