Leica 21mm f/3.4 Super-Elmar-M ASPH Examples and Flare

Just published in my Guide to Leica are two new pages on the Leica 21mm f/3.4 Super-Elmar-M ASPH: a page on its flare performance, and a narrative page on an afternoon’s bike ride in Cottonwood Canyon in the White Mountains of California.

By the way, one of the best ways to get better focus with a wide angle lens is to use the Leica 1.4X viewfinder magnifier (or the 1.25X); since one has to use a separate optical viewfinder for framing, one might as well magnify the focus through the camera’s viewfinder.

Also, for the 21mm, I use the Zeiss Viewfinder ZI for 21mm lens on my M9; the price is significantly less than the Leica M-21 viewfinder, and I prefer the Zeiss physically.
